Discovering the collaborative research network for transforming national
labs into independent administrative institutions
Electrotechnical Laboratory, Ministry of International Trade and Industry
(Current National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology)
Optoelectronics Division
Analysis and research of sterilization technology and cell-destruction
mechanism by alternative current electrolysis
Research Details
- To improve the reliability in the alternative current electrolysis sterilization,
“additional experiment, research, and verification” for sterilization effects
as well as modeling and verification of the sterilization mechanism were
conducted using cultured bacteria and microbes. As “technology evaluation”
for practical use, the sterilization effect against toxic bacteria (common
bacteria, coli forms) was verified for various samples including wafer
from lakes/ponds, cooling towers, and hot springs.
- Institute for the Geo-Resources and Environment, National Institute of
Advanced Industrial Science and Technology: Verification and evaluation
for the decomposition of soil contaminants VOC by electrolysis, flocculation,
and recovery of arsenic and heavy metal
